Born in a small city in the northern part of China and under the trend of learning English, I am a native Mandarin speaker and advanced in English. Then I went to Northwest Agricultural and Forestry University majoring in English translation and interpretation. During a year of studying at Xi’an International Studies University, I got interested in localization. I was passionate about learning something beyond language. I was also amazed at how technology and language were connected through localization. So, I decided to learn further about localization. That’s why I am now a student at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, majoring in Translation and localization management.

I have rich experience of working in translation and localization industry. I was responsible for proofread when worked in a national undergraduate innovation project called “Light Chaser”. I also worked as an intern in Transn in China where I took responsibility as a linguist, helping with corpus building and data cleaning. I also have experience working as a translator such as translating for Yangling International Agricultural Science and Technology Forum.

Except for translation, interpretation, and localization, I am also passionate about fashion. Almost all individual tasks I am working on are about the fashion industry. As for interests, I also love playing jigsaw puzzles, baking, and traveling.
